Fernbrook Family Center

Fernbrook Family Center offers School Link Mental Health (SLMH) services in the school. Placing children's mental health services in the school provides a great opportunity for mental health promotion, prevention, and early identification and intervention. Services offered include psychotherapy and skills training. If you believe your child would benefit from these services they can be referred to the SLMH Provider or the School Counselor.

Sara Auringer is our SLMH Therapist at Triton this year. She is located out of the Kasson clinic but will be working within Triton during the week.

Fernbrook also offers mental health services outside of the school. For more information visit their website or contact their offices.

Growth Mindset

A growth mindset is the underlying belief that abilities can be developed through effort and practice. Children with a growth mindset persist in the face of challenges because they understand that effort and hard work can change ability and intelligence. A fixed mindset is the belief that intelligence is static, and cannot be changed. When children are in a fixed mindset, they tend to give up easily when they encounter obstacles, because they believe that they don’t have what it takes to learn hard things.
